Valentine's Day 2008

I had a great Valentine's Day yesterday!! We started celebrating the night before. My boyfriend, Chris, came home and said he was taking me out to eat anywhere I wanted. I chose Olive Garden. After we got home I gave him one of his presents, a pin that said "George Strait for President 2008" along with a card. He loved it. On Valentine's Day he was on-call but his attending doctor let him off of work for a couple of hours. When he got home he said he was going outside to bring the garbage can up to the house. Instead, he came in with 6 red roses and a balloon. He gave me two cards. One of them was a Superman card that I had seen at Wal-Mart and thought it would be awesome if he got it for me. When I read it I said great minds think alike, but he said that maybe he just knows me very well and what I like. (I LOVE Superman!!) I gave him another card and matching OU t-shirts for us. His is grey and mine is pink. I got matching shirts because I hate OU and I wanted to show that I'm making an effort to like them because he graduated from there and he is a die-hard OU fan. I told him we can wear them when OU plays and we don't have to wear them out in public ad he said yes we do!!

A couple of days before I had bought Chris a frog balloon. Here is a pic of the balloons and roses.

RAVE

My rave is my awesome boyfriend, Chris. He is so good to me. I don't know what I would do without him. He brings out the best in me. :)

RANT

The 2008 Presidential election. I am getting sick and tired of it. Don't get me wrong, I have a horse in the race (Huckabee) and I am campaigning hard for him, but I am just getting sick of the way he is being brushed aside and ignored. I guess that is for another blog, though.

I absolutely LOVE black and white photos. They are so artistic and you notice things about them that you wouldn't see in a colored picture. I also like black and white picture with one thing colored so it really pops out. My sister (who's blog I mentioned in my previous post) takes the most GORGEOUS black and white pictures and then she likes to color in parts of it.

If my sister will give me permission and pics, I would love to post some pictures of hers on here. She is really talented.

RANT

When I kept going to Kohl's, Goody's, and the mal to look for dress shirts, the fashion this year was shirts that had a belt or tied above your waist. The shirts are cute, don't get me wrong, but if you have any bit of fat the shirts accent it. I would have bought some of the shirts anyways, but they have belt loops and it would have been obvious that something that something was missing from the shirt. I really hope that the style next year is something that us women who aren't a perfect size 6 can wear.
